Short description

Mike Anderson, a tough American reporter on a dangerous foreign assignment, finds his own life in jeopardy when he uncovers a deadly labyrinth of political intrigue that threatens the lives of thousands. Dispatched to investigate a mysterious and fatal attack on an overseas US naval base, Anderson, a leading investigative journalist and ex-US marine, finds himself back on familiar ground. Instinct makes him question the official CIA explanation that cites an unknown terrorist group called Black October. Alone, and armed only with his combat training and determination to uncover the truth, he sets out to expose a complex and dangerous political web.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The scene where Dolph Lundgren's character walks through crowds during Easter celebrations was filmed during an actual procession of pilgrims at the twelve Stations of the Cross. Hidden cameras were used to capture the footage. Lundgren was accompanied by two bodyguards from the National Paratroopers Unit. However, pilgrims and tourists mistook his fake blood for real, and soldiers, threatening him with weapons, pinned him to the ground as they had not been informed about the filming.
  • The film was released in theaters worldwide, except for the United States and the United Kingdom.
  • The movie was filmed in the suburbs of Tel Aviv before the Gulf War; due to this conflict, the distributor in France delayed the release by six months.
  • William Tannen, who wrote the screenplay and intended to direct the film in Israel, was removed a week before filming began because Dolph Lundgren considered his work outdated and in need of a complete rewrite. Tannen refused, and as a result, he was replaced by Israeli producers with Manny Coto.
