One for the Road

Mark is a professional in the Berlin construction industry whose lifestyle revolves around frequent drinking. After being caught driving while intoxicated and losing his driver's license, he enters a bet with his close friend Nadim to remain sober until his license is restored. As he attends addiction courses, Mark meets Helena, and the two form a relationship while attempting to avoid temptation. However, Mark eventually realizes his struggle with alcohol is more severe than he initially believed, leading him to seek professional help.

The film was directed by Markus Goller, following his previous works Friendship!, Frau Ella, and 25 km/h. It features a cast including Frederick Lau, Nora Tschirner, and Burak Yiğit. Produced by companies such as Wiedemann & Berg Film and SevenPictures Film, the project was written by Oliver Ziegenbalg.
