Welcome to Collinwood

Cosimo, a small-time thief serving time in prison, learns from a cellmate about an easy score he wants to pull off once he is free. Since he cannot leave, his girlfriend Rosalind is sent out to find someone desperate enough to take the fall for him and serve the remaining sentence. Several men from the rundown Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland in Ohio show interest, each hoping to profit from the plan, and their competing schemes set up the troubles that follow.

Welcome to Collinwood is a crime comedy directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who also wrote the screenplay, and produced by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney. It was the first feature the brothers directed together, well before the large-scale productions that came later in their careers. The cast includes Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, Michael Jeter and Andy Davoli, with Clooney appearing in a small role; thirty-two performers are credited in total.

Made for about seven million dollars, the film took in roughly four million worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from around 16,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.1 from 255 votes; a critics' score of 5.9 from 67 reviews places it close to the two audience figures. Running 86 minutes, it was released in October 2002.
