Set in a world where people with superpowers are monitored and kept in line by robot enforcement, Code 8 Part II follows Connor, newly released from prison and working as a cleaner at a youth community centre while trying to stay out of trouble. That changes when he agrees to help Pav, a fourteen-year-old girl whose brother was killed by corrupt officers. The officer leading the cover-up, the decorated Sergeant Kingston, pursues her with a unit of dog-like robots. To protect her, Connor has to turn to Garrett, the drug lord he once worked with and blames for his imprisonment, and the two men must settle their feud long enough to face Kingston together.
Jeff Chan directs and shares writing credits with Chris Paré and Sherren Lee. It is his fourth feature, after Grace and two earlier Code 8 films, with much of the main cast returning: Robbie Amell as Connor, Stephen Amell as Garrett, Alex Mallari Jr. as Kingston, and Sirena Gulamgaus as Pavani, alongside Aaron Abrams and Moe Jeudy-Lamour. The production credits 27 cast members and 99 crew.
Released in February 2024 and running 101 minutes, the Canadian-American production earned a 6.4 out of 10 from 15 critics and the same score on TMDB from roughly 750 users, while on IMDb it holds 5.7 from about 17,000 votes, a larger and cooler sample that suggests a mixed response among general viewers.
