Short description
Rose and her daughter Sofia travel to Almería, a coastal town in Spain, to seek treatment for Rose's mysterious illness that has left her using a wheelchair. They consult with Dr. Gomez, a physician with shamanic practices who may offer a cure. While in the town, Sofia begins to break free from the restrictions of her lifelong role as a caregiver and the influence of her mother after meeting a persuasive traveler named Ingrid. This shift in Sofia's behavior creates tension and brings long-standing resentments to the surface within the family relationship.

- The film was shot in July-August 2023, during the height of the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, without notifying the latter’s leadership or obtaining its permission to film. All the actresses in the leading roles in the film were members of the union. Furthermore, during this labor dispute, the film was acquired by the American distribution company IFC Films. SAG-AFTRA leadership did not comment on this blatant violation of union rules at that time, nor subsequently.
