Transporter 2

Frank Martin, a former Special Forces officer working as a professional driver, has settled in Miami, where he agrees to help out a friend by chauffeuring the young son of a government narcotics official. The job looks routine until the boy is abducted, drawing Frank into a fight to protect the child and uncover the scheme behind the kidnapping.

The film is a sequel to The Transporter, with Jason Statham returning as Frank Martin and Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen again providing the screenplay. Louis Leterrier directed, following The Transporter and Unleashed in his filmography. Amber Valletta, Alessandro Gassmann, Kate Nauta, Matthew Modine and Jason Flemyng appear alongside Statham in a cast of 58, supported by a crew of 103.

Produced across Germany, the United States and France by companies including EuropaCorp, Canal+ and TF1 Films Production, the film had a budget of 32 million USD and took 89 million USD worldwide. It holds a rating of 6.3/10 on IMDb from 225,000 votes and 6.3/10 on TMDB from 4,081 votes, while film critics gave it 5.4/10 from 121 reviews, placing critical response somewhat below audience opinion.
