My Name Is Nobody

My Name Is Nobody is a Western comedy about an aging gunslinger, Jack Beauregard, who wants nothing more than to leave the American West behind and settle quietly in Europe. His plans are complicated by a young, energetic admirer who calls himself Nobody and who trails him with persistent enthusiasm. Nobody wants his hero to finish his career with one great feat rather than fade away, and he works to arrange a confrontation between Beauregard and a large outlaw gang known as the Wild Bunch. Beauregard is reluctant, and the gang has its own plans.

Tonino Valerii directed the film, his second feature after Day of Anger in 1967, from a screenplay by Ernesto Gastaldi and produced by Fulvio Morsella. Henry Fonda plays Beauregard and Terence Hill plays Nobody, with Jean Martin, R. G. Armstrong, Karl Braun and Leo Gordon among the supporting cast of twenty-seven credited performers. The film was released in December 1973 and runs 117 minutes.
