Dunki

Four friends in a Punjab village share one ambition: to reach England. They have neither visas nor tickets, so when a soldier they meet promises to get them to the country they dream of, they set out on an illegal route known as the "donkey flight," a path that carries them across desert and sea and tests their friendship and their sense of home.

The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. It is the sixth film he has directed, following Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK and Sanju. Shah Rukh Khan leads the cast as Hardayal Singh Dhillon and also produced through Red Chillies Entertainment alongside Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal appear in supporting roles, with a credited cast of 138 and crew of 113.

Released in December 2023, the film runs 159 minutes and mixes adventure, comedy and drama. Made on a budget of about 15 million USD, it took in roughly the same amount worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.5/10 from around 85,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3/10 from 122 votes. A critics' rating of 6.1/10 from 23 reviews places it close to the audience scores.
