Short description
A team of parapsychologists sets out to investigate a series of anomalous phenomena taking place in a newly occupied apartment. Telephone calls with no caller, mysterious shadows, extraordinary light emissions, flying objects, and exploding light bulbs are some of the events they will face while recording their every step with state-of-the-art technology. Using infrared filming, digital photography, psychophonic recordings, movement detectors, and magnetic field alteration meters, the group’s attempts to contact the “other side” will grow increasingly dangerous as they near a point of no return.
What's left behind the scenes
- The idea for the film came to producer and screenwriter Rodrigo Cortés while working on the script for the thriller 'Red Lights' (2011), which tells the story of a confrontation between a scientist and a psychic. Cortés studied esotericism, various pseudosciences, and documentary research of recorded mystical cases and their scientific and pseudoscientific explanations for a year and a half. After completing work on 'Red Lights' (2011), he decided to use his research to create a horror film on the theme of paranormal phenomena.
- The cinematographer used 16 different shooting formats: from high-resolution cameras and security cameras to old VHS cameras or mobile phones. In this way, the filmmakers wanted to achieve the effect of a documentary film.
