Asterix and Cleopatra

Asterix and Obelix travel to Egypt to support Queen Cleopatra in a challenge against Julius Caesar. To prove the capability of her people, the Queen bets that she can build a grand palace within a very short timeframe. Assisted by the druid Panoramix and his magic potion, the Gallic heroes help the architect Numerobis overcome the obstacles and plots created by Caesar to ensure the project succeeds.

This Belgian and French animated adventure was co-directed by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. For both directors, this film precedes their work on The Twelve Tasks of Asterix (1976). The movie features the voices of Roger Carel, Jacques Morel, and Micheline Dax, with a total of 23 credited cast members. Produced by Raymond Leblanc and written by Pierre Tchernia, the film has a runtime of 72 minutes.
