Short description
When the diabolical Professor Ratigan kidnaps London's master toymaker, the brilliant master of disguise Basil of Baker Street and his trusted sidekick Dawson try to elude the ultimate trap and foil the perfect crime.

- The cartoon is based on a series of stories by Yves Titus, "Basil of Baker Street" (1958-1982).
- Fidget periodically loses either his right or left leg.
- The clock tower scene utilizes rotoscoping animation. The backgrounds for this scene were computer-calculated and output to paper using a plotter (this is demonstrated in the film's supplemental materials). This wasn't the first use of computer graphics by Disney studios, as it had previously been used in the film 'Tron' (1982) and the animated feature 'The Black Cauldron' (1985).
