What's left behind the scenes
- The animated series is based on a series of comics by Lowell Cunningham, published from 1990 to 1991 by Marvel under its Aircel Comics and Malibu Comics imprints. Despite this, the animated series has many discrepancies with the source material and is more heavily based on the cult film of the same name from 1997. Additionally, none of the supporting characters or villains appearing in the series ever appeared in the comics.
- In the 12th episode of the 2nd season, the producer mentions the names of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, who played Agents J and K in the movie of the same name.
- In Season 1, Episode 3, there was a sphere that destroyed everything within a radius of 3 meters to 3 miles. An identical sphere appeared in the movie 'Arrival' (1996), starring Charlie Sheen.
- In Season 1, Episode 6, when Kay lost his memory, the airship almost crashed into the Twin Towers. This was around September 11th.
- In one of the episodes, an attempt was made to explain the discrepancies between the movie and the series—allegedly, the movie was based on a script written by the Worms and sold to Steven Spielberg.
- Agent L is a blonde in this version, although she was a brunette in the original film. Agent Z also differs significantly from the one presented in the movie.
