What's left behind the scenes
- The names of many characters mirror the names of the killer's actual victims and suspects.
- The series was filmed in the East End, primarily in the locations where the events took place, and mostly at night.
- In the first season, instead of simulated organs for the murdered prostitutes, real offal was used, so the smell on set was horrific. In the second season, plastic props were used instead.
