What's left behind the scenes
- According to one of the directors, Noriyuki Abe, the anime concluded before the final story arc of the original manga because the anime's production was only slightly behind the manga, and they constantly had to ask one of the screenwriters, Tite Kubo, about what would happen next. When the current anime season ended, only four new chapters were ready, which was not enough for an entire season.
