What's left behind the scenes
- Many scenes were filmed in the same locations used for the town of Stars Hollow in the series 'Gilmore Girls' (2000-2007). This explains the similarity of the city shots.
- The actress playing Alison (Sasha Peters) is the youngest of the five friends at 14 years old, while all her on-screen peers are in their twenties.
- Alexis Denisof originally played the role of Byron, but was replaced by Chad Lowe after the pilot episode.
- Jean Louise Kelly was originally cast in the role of Ella, but was replaced by Holly Marie Combs after the pilot episode.
- Carlo Marks played Ian Thomas in the pilot episode, but was later replaced by Ryan Merriman.
- Almost everyone involved in the filming process knew the identity of the anonymous person. The only exception was Lucy Hale, the actress who played Aria. She wasn't told for fear that she might let it slip.
- When Sasha Pieterse was cast in the role of Alison, she was only 12 years old. She lied about her age and said she was 14.
