What's left behind the scenes

According to the series creator Mick Garris, the directors involved in the project were initially allowed to film whatever and however they wanted, but some restrictions were later introduced—for example, filming front-facing male nudity and scenes of child-on-child violence were prohibited (whereas there were no issues with filming acts of violence by adults toward children or children toward adults).
In Mick Garris's episode 'Chocolate', the main character reads Stephen King's book 'Desperation'. This is a reference to the 2006 television movie 'Desperation', which was also directed by Mick Garris.
