What's left behind the scenes
- The pseudonym Kyoma Hooin translates to 'phoenix of cruel reality'.
- The plot was inspired by a story from 2000, when a forum user named John Titor proclaimed himself to be a time traveler from the future. He spoke about his mission and then vanished.
- The SERN organization is a reference to the real-life CERN — the European Organization for Nuclear Research, which created the Large Hadron Collider in 2008.
