What's left behind the scenes
- Part of the series takes place on a Cheyenne Indian reservation. While the Wind River Reservation does exist in Wyoming, it is inhabited only by the Arapaho and Shoshone. There are no Cheyenne reservations in the state.
- The action of the second episode of the first season unfolds in a Mennonite settlement. In reality, there are no Mennonites in Wyoming, nor are there Amish—who are also mentioned in the episode—or other representatives of the Pennsylvania Dutch.
