What's left behind the scenes
- The book that Kat reads to the children is titled 'Puppy'. This is the favorite book of Danny Torrance—the boy from King's novel 'The Shining'.
- Stephen King appears as a narrator on the screen of a cracked television.
- The film takes place on Little Tall Island, off the coast of Maine, where the movie Dolores Claiborne—also based on a work by Stephen King—was previously filmed.
