What's left behind the scenes
- The literal translation of the manga and anime title is: "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Definitely Wrong."
- The four main characters of the series can be seen as representatives of the four primary temperaments: Hachiman is the melancholic, Yukino is the phlegmatic, Yui is the sanguine, and Shizuka-sensei is the choleric.
- By the author's design, the first and last names of the characters from the "Service Club" begin with the same syllables; however, while Yukino's name means "snowy" in both cases, Yui's name is written with different kanji and has different meanings: "hairstyle" in her given name and "reason" in her surname.
