What's left behind the scenes
- The Latin expression in the royal boardroom, "Ab uno disce omnes," translates as "From one, learn all" (or "Judge all by one").
- The plot is based on the biblical story of King David. The names of many characters and locations are also taken from the Bible.
- The silhouettes against the sky of Shiloh in the monarchy of Gilboa are computer-processed images of the New York City skyline. The building housing the Hall of Unity is the Brooklyn Museum (exterior) and the New York Public Library (interior).
