What's left behind the scenes
- "Twelve O'Clock High" is a book published in 1961 and a 1970 film starring Alan Arkin, Martin Balsam, Richard Benjamin, Art Garfunkel, and others.
- The miniseries primarily features B-25 bombers.
- It was initially intended that George Clooney would play a different character, but his commitment to other projects prevented this, and the role went to Kyle Chandler.
- Two operational bombers were brought from Sardinia to the US for the aerial scenes. The rest were added to the frame during post-production.
