Thunder

Set in Switzerland during the summer of 1900, this historical drama follows seventeen-year-old Elisabeth. While preparing to take her vows at a convent, she is forced to return to her family farm following the unexpected death of her older sister. Returning to her village, Elisabeth confronts the rigid local rules and the mysteries surrounding her sister's passing. As she reunites with childhood friends, she begins to rebel against the social order to claim her own autonomy and desires.

The film was written and directed by Carmen Jaquier, marking the first entry in her directorial timeline before Paradises of Diane. The cast is led by Lilith Grasmug as Elizabeth, appearing alongside Mermoz Melchior, Benjamin Python, and Noah Watzlawick. Produced by RTS, Close Up Films, and Good Fortune Films, the production involved a credited crew of 48 people.
