The Future Awaits

Set in Paris during July 1942, this historical drama follows a thirteen-year-old Polish Jewish girl named Tauba and her parents as they hide from Nazi roundups. The family spends over two years confined to a tiny room, facing harsh conditions and the constant threat of discovery. While her parents struggle with despair, Tauba maintains her optimism and finds small ways to experience joy until the city is liberated.

The film was directed by Nils Tavernier, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Guy Birenbaum and Laurent Bertoni. The cast features Violette Guillon in the lead role of young Tauba, supported by Guillaume Gallienne and Adeline D'Hermy as her parents. Other cast members include Sandrine Bonnaire, Laurent Bateau, and Claude Mathieu. The production was handled by Bonne Pioche Productions and Chez Georges Productions in France.
