Blood Type

Set in November 1943, this war drama is based on true events. It follows a group of Soviet orphans held by Nazi forces in Vyritsa at a facility disguised as a shelter, located in a former pioneer camp. The children face starvation, freezing temperatures, and forced labor, with disobedience resulting in punishment cells and escape attempts leading to execution. The situation is further complicated by the children being used as blood donors for injured German soldiers. Despite these conditions, the youths unite to resist their captors and plan an escape.

The film was directed by Maxim Brius and written by Mariya Oshmyanskaya, Aleksandr Ivanov, and Aleksandr Paygalik.
