Nicky's Family is a documentary and drama that explores the rescue efforts of Sir Nicholas Winton. Before the start of World War II, Winton organized the transport of 669 children from occupied Prague to Great Britain to save them from the Nazi genocide. The production also features appearances by world figures including Elie Wiesel and the Dalai Lama.
The film was directed by Matej Mináč, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Patrik Pašš. It was produced in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The cast features Nicholas Winton appearing as himself, alongside other participants such as Tenzin Gyatso and Jana Kepková.
Released in February 2011 with a runtime of 96 minutes, the film has been well received by viewers. It holds a rating of 8.1/10 on IMDb based on 670 votes.
