Vikingdom is an adventure film set in a mythic Norse past, where the thunder god Thor searches for ancient relics that would give him power over the world. Standing against him is Eirick, a warrior who has turned his back on his violent past and must take up his sword once more to protect his people and confront a god. He is joined by allies including the swordsman Yang, the warrior Brynna and his old comrade Sven, as the struggle builds toward a rare solar eclipse that would decide the outcome.
The Malaysian production was directed by Yusry Abdul Halim, his first feature, followed later by Wheely, and written by James Coyne, with Shireen M. Hashim producing for KRU Studios. Dominic Purcell plays Eirick, with Natassia Malthe, Craig Fairbrass and Conan Stevens among the thirty-two credited cast members.
Made for roughly 16 million dollars, the film places a modest regional budget behind a large-scale fantasy premise. Its audience response has been limited: on TMDB it holds a rating of 4.2 out of 10 from 84 votes, a small sample reflecting a mostly negative reception with little wider attention.
