Gospel According to Mary

This historical drama reimagines the life of Mary, a young woman in Nazareth who seeks knowledge and independence in a society that forbids women from reading and writing. Inspired by the courage of biblical prophets, she plans to leave her home to explore the world. She finds an ally in Giuseppe, who secretly teaches her as they maintain a chaste marriage to hide their goals. However, their arrangement is complicated when they fall in love, and their personal plans are disrupted by the arrival of the angel of the annunciation.
