Fragments of the Last Will

Fragments of the Last Will is a historical drama based on a true story. The plot follows Yamamoto Hatao, who spends eleven years facing bleak conditions while trying to return to his wife. Throughout his struggle, he maintains his hope of reunion by focusing on the memory of his spouse and his companions.

The film was directed by Takahisa Zeze, appearing in his filmography after Threads - Our Tapestry of Love and before The Boy and the Dog. The screenplay was written by Tamio Hayashi, and the project was produced by Tetsuta Tone through TOHO and Twins Japan.
