Crooked Arrows

Crooked Arrows centers on Joe Logan, a man of mixed Native American heritage who works for a casino and has been pursuing his own business ambitions. When he is asked to help negotiate an expansion with his tribe's council, the deal depends on him taking on a different job first: coaching the reservation's high school lacrosse team. The players are Native American, and the sport itself has roots in their communities, but they are up against wealthier, better-equipped prep school programs. Joe has to win over the team, including his younger sister, while his father watches from the sidelines. The film follows the squad through a prep school league tournament as Joe reconnects with his heritage and the players find their footing.

Steve Rash directed the film, the eleventh in his filmography, following a run of comedies and direct-to-video sequels that includes American Pie Presents: Band Camp and two Bring It On installments. The screenplay is by Brad Riddell and Todd Baird.
