Doraemon: Nobita and the Galaxy Super-express

Doraemon vanishes for three days, leading Nobita and their friends to discover he had traveled to the 22nd century. He returns with tickets for a mysterious galactic express train that can traverse space and time. The passengers are not told their destination, which remains a secret until they arrive. Along the way, the group encounters new companions and faces conflict with galactic pirates who attempt to disrupt their journey.

Released in 1996, this Japanese animated science fiction adventure was directed by Tsutomu Shibayama. This production was the 17th of 25 films directed by Shibayama, following Doraemon: Nobita's Diary on the Creation of the World and preceding Doraemon: Nobita and the Spiral City. The screenplay was written by Fujiko F. Fujio, and the film was produced by Toho, Shin-Ei Animation, Shogakukan, and TV Asahi. The voice cast features Nobuyo Oyama as Doraemon, Noriko Ohara as Nobita, Michiko Nomura as Shizuka, Kaneta Kimotsuki as Suneo, Kazuya Tatekabe as Gian, and Sachiko Chijimatsu as Nobita's Mother.
