Character Witness

A secondary school teacher named Mr. Leung is arrested after a student, Emily, accuses him of sexual assault following a meeting about her behavior. While the school administration attempts to suppress the scandal to protect its image, Mr. Leung's colleagues quickly judge him as guilty before any trial occurs. Ms. Chan, a longtime acquaintance, is the only person who believes he is innocent. She faces harsh criticism and social pressure from her peers, leaving her uncertain about whether she should testify as a character witness for him.

This Hong Kong drama was directed by Suen Ching, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Chow Yiu-kan. The production was supported by Fresh Wave and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. The cast features Sin Lok-yan as Ms. Chan, Jeffrey Lam Sen as Mr. Leung, Ko Hon-Man as the principal, and Chan Ying-ka as Emily. The film has a total runtime of 23 minutes.
