Adiós Buenos Aires

Set in Buenos Aires during the economic crisis of November 2001, the story follows Julio Färber, a bandoneon player in a working-class tango group and owner of a family shoe shop. Struggling with falling income and political instability, Julio decides to emigrate to Germany. However, his plans are disrupted when the government freezes bank accounts, leaving him unable to buy plane tickets amidst widespread civil unrest. His situation changes when he meets Mariela, a taxi driver who crashes into his car, leading to a romantic connection that makes him question his decision to leave his home.

This comedy-drama was directed by Germán Kral, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Stephan Puchner and Fernando Castets. The film stars Diego Cremonesi as Julio Färber and Marina Bellati as Mariela.
