This crime horror film is based on a true event from 1988 involving the abduction of a high school student named Junko Furuta. Four young men held her captive in a private residence, where she was subjected to prolonged physical and sexual abuse. To prevent her rescue, the captors forced the victim to lie to her parents about her well-being. After several weeks of torture, the group killed her following a game of mahjong solitaire. The perpetrators attempted to conceal the murder by encasing the body in concrete and disposing of it in a reclaimed land area of Tokyo.
Released in 2004, the film was directed by Taku Nakamura and Hiromu Nakumura, with a screenplay written by Hiroshi Kanno. The production was handled by Benten Entertainment Inc. in Japan.
