Before It Ends

Set in Denmark shortly before the liberation in 1945, this historical drama follows a school principal named Jakob and his wife Lis. When their folk high school is converted into an internment camp for over 500 German refugees, the couple and their children face a moral crisis. They must decide whether to provide aid to the refugees, who are suffering from diseases like diphtheria, or maintain their loyalty to the Danish resistance. Helping the Germans risks having them branded as traitors and losing everything they own.

The film was written and directed by Anders Walter, following his previous work on I Kill Giants.
