Regarding Henry

Henry Turner is a wealthy New York lawyer who treats his work as a contest to be won, even when the cost falls on his wife and daughter. After he is shot, the injury leaves him without speech, without mobility and without any memory of his life. His recovery is slow, and as he rebuilds his speech and movement he learns who he used to be.

Mike Nichols directed the film, the eleventh of the eighteen features listed for him, arriving after Postcards from the Edge and before Wolf. J.J. Abrams wrote the screenplay, and Scott Rudin produced alongside Nichols. Harrison Ford plays Henry opposite Annette Bening as Sarah, with Bill Nunn as Bradley, the physical therapist, Rebecca Miller as Linda, Bruce Altman as Henry's law partner and Elizabeth Wilson as his secretary. The credited cast and crew number 38 and 54 respectively.

The production carried a budget of 50 million dollars and returned about 43 million worldwide, so its theatrical run fell short of its cost. On IMDb the film holds 6.7 out of 10 from 36,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.5 from 652 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 5.1 from 35 reviews, well below the audience scores.
