Stitches

Richard "Stitches" Grindle works as a children's party clown, though he is neither graceful nor funny, and his material is not suited to young audiences. At the tenth birthday party of a boy named Tom, he becomes the target of a prank and dies in an accident. Six years later, Tom is a teenager and hosts a birthday gathering of his own, where the clown returns to take revenge on the friends who were there.

The film is directed by Conor McMahon, who wrote the screenplay with David O'Brien. It was produced by Brendan McCarthy, John McDonnell and Julianne Forde, and was released in 2012 through a collaboration between Irish and American companies. Ross Noble plays the clown, with Tommy Knight as Tom and Gemma-Leah Devereux as Kate among the credited cast of thirty-seven. The film runs eighty-six minutes.

On IMDb, the film holds a critics' rating of 5.4 out of 10 from twenty-four reviews, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.2 out of 10 from 467 votes, indicating that general viewers responded somewhat more warmly than reviewers did.
