Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is a comedy horror film about two well-meaning friends, Tucker and Dale, who have bought a run-down cabin in the West Virginia woods and are fixing it up while enjoying a quiet vacation. Their plans collide with a group of college students camping nearby, who mistake the pair for dangerous backwoods killers. When Dale rescues one of the students, Allison, from an accident, her friends become convinced she has been abducted, and their attempts to fight back against the supposed threat lead to increasingly disastrous results.

The film was directed by Eli Craig, who wrote the screenplay with Morgan Jurgenson. It is the first film he directed, followed by Little Evil in 2017 and Clown in a Cornfield in 2025. Tyler Labine plays Dale and Alan Tudyk plays Tucker, with Katrina Bowden as Allison, Jesse Moss as Chad, Philip Granger as Sheriff and Brandon Jay McLaren as Jason. The production, made in Canada and the United States, had a budget of about 5 million dollars and took in roughly the same amount worldwide.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 7.5 out of 10 from around 208,000 votes, while on TMDB it rates 7.4 out of 10 from a much smaller pool of about 3,300 votes. A film critics' rating of 7 out of 10 from 116 reviews places critical and audience responses closely in line with one another.
