The Snake Woman

Set in 1890 England, this horror film follows a doctor who injects his wife with snake venom in an attempt to treat her mental illness. The woman eventually gives birth to a daughter who is labeled the child of the devil by local villagers. Driven by fear, the community burns down the family home. Many years later, a detective from Scotland Yard arrives in the village to investigate a string of fatalities caused by snakebites.
