Short description

As the Day of the Dead celebration approaches the barrio of East Los Angeles, Caroline is challenged to control the horrifying legend of her ancestor, the "Candyman".

What's left behind the scenes

Shortly before filming began, distribution company Artisan Entertainment learned that Sony held the rights to all sequels, having been the distributor of the very first film in the franchise in the USA ('Candyman', Bernard Rose, 1992). This was a blunder by Artisan Entertainment's legal department, but fortunately for the company, Sony was not at all interested in any sequels, so the filming process was launched.
