Jimmy

This historical drama follows a twenty-four-year-old writer who moves from New York to Paris in November 1948 after receiving a fellowship grant. Seeking a reprieve from social isolation and racism in America, he spends much of the following decade living in the Algerian districts of the city and among the artistic circles of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. During this time, he focuses on composing his early literary works.

Written, directed, and produced by Yashaddai Owens, the film also lists Ava Woo Kaufman as a producer. Benny O. Arthur stars in the lead role of Jimmy. The movie is a United States production with a total runtime of 67 minutes.
