Resident Evil: Damnation

Resident Evil: Damnation follows U.S. federal agent Leon S. Kennedy as he infiltrates a small country in Eastern Europe. He is there to check reports that bio-organic weapons are being used in the civil war, but shortly after he arrives Washington orders him to pull out, as the United States and Russia prepare to intervene jointly. Convinced the truth matters more than the order, Leon stays and heads into the fighting, hoping to stop the deaths these weapons keep causing.

The film is a Japanese computer-animated action and horror entry in the Resident Evil series, directed by Makoto Kamiya and written by Shoutarou Suga. It is Kamiya's second feature, following Resident Evil: Degeneration from 2008. Matthew Mercer voices Leon, with Courtenay Taylor as Ada Wong, Robin Sachs, Dave Wittenberg, Wendee Lee and Val Tasso in supporting roles.

It runs 100 minutes and reached cinemas in September 2012. Its worldwide box office of about 2 million dollars is modest, in keeping with a release aimed largely at the series' existing audience. On TMDB it holds a 6.9 out of 10 from roughly a thousand votes, while the small sample of critics' reviews is more favourable at 8 out of 10.
