A small town prepares to host another horror film festival despite a brutal murder occurring during a similar event two years prior. As the screenings take place, the violence from the movies begins to manifest in reality, with victims killed in ways that mimic the films. Because the bodies are discovered in different locations, the police struggle to realize that these deaths are connected.
