Love and Honor

Love and Honor is a drama set during the Vietnam War. Dalton, a young American soldier, is serving in Vietnam when his girlfriend back home breaks up with him. Unwilling to let her go, he persuades his friend and fellow soldier Mickey to leave their unit without permission and travel back to the United States to win her back. The two assume their absence will go unnoticed. Once home, in the middle of the era's anti-war protests, Mickey becomes involved with Candace, a free-spirited young woman active in the peace movement, and begins to question the war he has been fighting. Dalton, meanwhile, finds his former girlfriend changed and his mission to reclaim her far more complicated than he expected.

The film is directed by Danny Mooney from a screenplay by Jim Burnstein and Garrett K. Schiff. Liam Hemsworth plays Mickey, with Austin Stowell as Dalton, Teresa Palmer as Candace and Aimee Teegarden as Juniper, also called Jane. Christopher Lowell and Wyatt Russell appear as Peter and Topher. It runs 92 minutes.

Released in 2013, the film drew a 2.9 out of 10 from 14 critics, well below its audience scores of 5.7 on IMDb and 6 on TMDB, where vote counts remain modest.
