.45 is a crime drama set in New York's Hell's Kitchen. Kat and her boyfriend Big Al earn their living selling guns on the street. Kat is sharp and self-assured, but that confidence collapses when Al, in a jealous rage, beats her badly. Three people around her push her toward recovery: Vic, a woman drawn to Kat; Reilly, who runs with Al but is disturbed by his violence; and Liz, a counselor from a battered-women's program. The threat of Al's anger keeps Kat frightened even as others talk about removing him from her life.

The film was directed by Gary Lennon, who also wrote the screenplay, and it was his first feature as director, made well before Piano Dreams (2024). Milla Jovovich plays Kat, with Angus Macfadyen as Big Al, Stephen Dorff as Reilly, Aisha Tyler as Liz, Sarah Strange as Vic and Vincent Laresca as Jose, among a credited cast of 21. It was produced by Möbius Entertainment and Media Talent Group on a budget of 5 million dollars.
