Ghajini

Ghajini is a Bollywood action thriller about Sanjay Singhania, the wealthy owner of a mobile phone company. After a violent attack leaves him with anterograde amnesia, he can retain new information for only about fifteen minutes at a time. Unable to form lasting memories, he pursues the man responsible for the death of Kalpana, the woman he loved, using photographs, written notes and tattoos on his body to hold on to clues and keep his mission on track. A medical student becomes involved in his search as he attempts to piece together what happened and track down the criminal known as Ghajini.

The film was directed by A. R. Murugadoss, who also wrote the screenplay. It is his second directed feature, following Stalin in 2006. Aamir Khan stars as Sanjay, with Asin Thottumkal as Kalpana, Jiah Khan as the student Sunita and Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat as the antagonist. It was produced by Tagore Madhu, Madhu Mantena Varma and Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts.

Released on December 25, 2008, the film runs 186 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.4 from around 72,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7 from roughly 468 votes. A critics' rating of 6.1 from 13 reviews places it below the audience scores. It earned about 38 million dollars worldwide against a reported budget of 200 million.
