Escape to Witch Mountain

Two orphaned siblings, Tia and Tony, possess extraordinary abilities that make them the target of a scheming pair of adults. A man named Lucas Deranian pretends to be the children's uncle in order to deliver them to his employer, the wealthy and ruthless Aristotle Bolt, who intends to exploit their powers. A widower named Jason O'Day, still grieving the loss of his wife, comes to the children's aid and helps them flee toward the safety of Witch Mountain, while they in turn help him confront his grief.

John Hough directed the film, which sits between The Legend of Hell House and its follow-up, Return from Witch Mountain, in his filmography. Robert M. Young wrote the screenplay, and Jerome Courtland produced it for Walt Disney Productions. Eddie Albert plays Jason, with Ray Milland as Bolt, Donald Pleasence as Deranian, and Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann as the siblings; Walter Barnes appears as Sheriff Purdy. The film runs 97 minutes.
