Crows Zero is set at Suzuran Boys' High School, a violent institution where student gangs fight constantly for dominance and no one has ever managed to unite the whole school under a single leader. Genji Takiya, the son of a yakuza boss, arrives as a new student with the aim of conquering Suzuran and proving himself worthy of his father's world. The cast is led by Shun Oguri as Genji, Kyosuke Yabe as Katagiri, Meisa Kuroki as Ruka Aizawa and Takayuki Yamada as Serizawa, alongside Kenichi Endo and Goro Kishitani, with twenty credited cast members in total.
