Ink

Set in 1969 London, this upcoming historical drama follows Rupert Murdoch as he enters the British press market. After purchasing the newspaper The Sun, Murdoch partners with ambitious editor Larry Lamb to reinvent news delivery. Together with a team that includes journalist Jules Davies, they aim to challenge the dominant Daily Mirror by creating a provocative tabloid format tailored to the desires of the general public, regardless of moral concerns.

Directed by Danny Boyle, Ink is the 17th film in his career, following his 2025 project 28 Years Later. The movie features a screenplay by James Graham and was produced by StudioCanal, Decibel Films, and House Productions. The main cast includes Guy Pearce as Murdoch, Jack O'Connell as Lamb, and Claire Foy as Davies, supported by Blake Harrison, Patrick Kennedy, and Angus Imrie. With a total of 23 credited cast members, the production is a joint effort between the United Kingdom, United States, and France. The film has a runtime of 116 minutes and is scheduled for release on December 11, 2026.
