Short description

After winning his first competition, Takumi focuses his attention on drift racing, a sport he has unknowingly perfected while delivering tofu in his father's Toyota AE86.

What's left behind the scenes

Three new Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno (Toyota Corolla AE) cars, discontinued in 1987, were specifically produced for the film.
Initially, Hark Tsui was going to direct the film, but he ultimately left the project due to creative differences.
According to Anthony Wong, the original script featured a race involving his character Bunty. However, the scene had to be cut from the final version of the film due to time constraints.
